Copper's Big 15th

Me, earlier in the week:  Copper, what do you want to do for your birthday on Saturday? Copper: Well, I have it planned out. From 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. is family time, then I have plans. Me: You're not going to be awake at 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday... Copper: You're right. So we celebrated as a family the night before, haha.  She picked Red Robin and then a bookstore. We made her pose by the fountain she fell completely in when she was two years old... The next morning she hung out with us long enough to open a few gifts and eat breakfast together.  Micah made her a sign with funny cat memes... And we made her take a picture of the old Wii wheel she ate when she was two... Then she got ready for friend day! Fifteen Years Old! She loves friends and books and plants the most, maybe in that order She is kind, close to God, a social introvert, helpful, beautiful, and funny. We love our Copper!

Girls Camp

This year for Girl's Camp we went to Reid Ranch for 2 1/2 days and then spent 1/2 day at Deer Creek hanging out in the water.  Reid Ranch was pretty cool!  Five leaders took 16 girls and we swam in a mountain pool, went to a private lake, hiked, rode horses, tried archery, did a ropes course, rode mountain bikes, played mini-golf, and anything else they could think of.  It reminded me of Parent Trap- a mess hall to eat with everyone, pranks (played by me), campfires, water time, and all around fun.  This year we took my niece Maci plus most of the girls in our ward and we had way too much fun. Our theme was GLOW (Go Light Our World) with a twist from Tangled. So we made shirts that said, "And at last I see the light," and we had a glow in the dark / black light dance party and devotionals about light and Christ.  I'm so grateful for my calling that lets me hang out with my girls, their ward friends, and the other girls I'm over as YW President.  They are so...

May

I love that Skyridge's color is orange.  Copper's headed there after summer! We went camping and I sunburned my legs because I stayed outside all morning rereading this book. It is the most darling story. The only picture I took of Copper while we camped... The only picture of Micah and Dakota I took while we camped... Nobody else would get out of bed so I got up early, made myself a little fire, read scriptures, did a little meditation, and wondered why I don't do this more often... We celebrated Oma's birthday at the park and I didn't even think to take pictures of the actual birthday girl or celebration but got a couple of good pics of Dakota trying to balance on her soccer ball...
