BOM

Today Tim and I listened to talks from General Conference, a few weeks late. I didn't really listen when it broadcasted, mostly b/c we were in the old house, Copper was restless, there were a few bugs crawling on the carpet, and I was starving. So hungry, in fact, that I ate part of our 72 hour kit because it was what was left in the house. Sometimes I'm that hungry. I wondered if it was any good, which it was, and I determined that in case of an emergency I would be just fine eating those things. Anyway, I was super impressed with some of the talks and one in particular. Holland gave a very sensational talk on the Book of Mormon. Normally I listen to talks on the BOM and think, Yep, it's a good read. But this talk really got under my skin and I realized that not only have I become casual in my reading of it, but that that laziness likely accounted for my uncoordination in life, for lack of better terms. Here's one of my favorite parts, where Holland is recountin...

Very unprofessional photos

Shandee and I thought it would be a good idea to get pics of all the girls together. Would have been a great idea if there weren't four kids and only two adults, if Copper had stopped screaming, and if Maci knew how to sit still. We got a couple good pictures out of eighty-eight, but nothing fantastic with all of them at once. Yes, eighty-eight pictures later and not one of the four of them together smiling! Still cute though.

You know you're getting old

My birthday is this week and I realized I'm getting old when I get excited about this: New frying pans are always nice. Especially if they are orange. Plus, a new strainer that's bite-size is very cool. And, perfectly round cookies with a new scoop. Love it! Plus, Tim's mom, outside of getting me the cool kitchen stuff, is this incredible quilter. I mean fantastically talented at it. She recently took a class on how to turn a person-picture into a quilt. Copper was her first guinea pig and it turned out great! Thanks Oma Helferich!

Pajama-Rama

I love winter pajamas! Especially when she spits up all over them when I'm trying to take a picture...

October Friend Fest

Each year, Candis, Denise, and I go to Park City for our birthdays, which all fall between five weeks of each other. It is a fun way to celebrate 27 years of friendship! Yesterday Copper joined us and was great- she either slept or was happy and smiling! And, half of my Christmas shopping is done! Doesn't get better than that!
