Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey-ed out... Family is what we are most grateful for!  We are so blessed to have Copper, our wonderful parents and other family, and all the love, laughter, and life we share!

More Praying

Taryn:  "Heavenly Father, please bless all moms and dads that they will love their babies, all of them, no matter how they look.  Even if they come out looking like a moose."
Taryn's Prayers: "Please bless all the new babies in our family and everyone else.  And please bless the Mexicans so they will be safe." "Please bless Grandpa and Tom on their hunting trip.  Please help Tom be a better aim so they can come home."

All things Copper

Copper is 17 months today.   Wow!! 1.  She hates bubbles.  When I say hates them, I mean it.  She scrambles to get out of the tub.  And when I put them on her hands or belly or cheeks, she sort of freaks.  It's funny enough we do it for laughs sometimes. 2.  She loves, loves, loves to dance.  Spinning in circles, marching, clapping, throwing her arms in the air, stomping one foot at a time, you name it. 3.  Eating.  Copper is NOT a good eater.  When she decides to eat, she eats almost anything.  When she decides she doesn't want to eat, there's no making her.  Petite but healthy.  At least she's a solid twenty pounds now!! 4.  Copper has discovered crayons.  She has drawn on the tile, wall, fridge, and couch.  Then we learned to strap her down in the highchair and tray; this lasted a day or so. Tim taught her to "only draw on the table," which she picked up very quickly.  She dr...

Creating

Some time ago that super cool guy Uchdorf talked about women's ability to create.  And another cool guy I know told me he thought one key to happiness was hobbies.  So I decided to create this weekend.  Which included today.  I took another day off work.  [Seriously- I started off sick but felt better this afternoon.  Not good enough for the office though.  I need a very extended break.] Anyway- back to creating.  Uchdorf says, "The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before.  Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develop ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty." Just part of his incredibly motivating talk.  I took it to action by making these:  A journal for my niece on Tim's side....

My new nephew!

Shandee had her baby (our first boy in the family!) early this morning.  He's sooo cute!
