A project

I wanted a manageable project this weekend so I decided to make my own smoked paprika. 🤤 I bought five red peppers and scored a deal at 99 cents each. Ty smoke them for me for about 4 hours Then I put them in my dehydrator for like 15 hours on low Super crispy and very dry Threw them in my blender for a few minutes Five peppers made 2.5 oz. I wasn't sure if it was worth the cost until I tried it... Made deviled eggs with fresh chicken eggs. I threw the paprika on the top of them and blew my socks off. I think I'm going to use this on everything. Talk about packing a punch of flavor. Delicious!

Spring, Life Updates, Random Stuff

Spring is trying to get here and we've had a few good super sunny days. Dakota's soccer season started. She's pretty awesome and got nominated for the Gatorade her coach gives to someone who rocked it. They tied their first game, 3-3. It's fun to watch her get out there and move her body, after a winter of watching hours and hours of Dude Perfect and Psych... Micah is kicking trash at karate. It's her 5th year (she started in 3rd grade) and you can tell how hard she works and how much she's grown.   This is a cool video from an informal little performance the other night. She was asked to teach her Young Women group a few moves, and then at the end she showed them the kata she is currently working on.  Thanks to her friend Ronan for coming to help! Video of Micah's kata at YW Copper is all sorts of busy!  She had a few choir concerts lately.  I hemmed her dress, accidently sliced it clear up the back, fixed it the best I could, and sent her singing. As alway...

Changes at work, changes at church

Two weeks ago I very unexpectedly got released as YW President. I literally cried buckets and buckets and rivers and rivers and rivers. I have not cried that hard in a long time, which is saying a lot because I tend to cry fairly often.... Not because I'm sad all the time but just because my body easily cries feeling pretty much any emotion. But this was a lot of sadness. A lot of sadness. And actually, a lot of a lot of things. I felt sad, I felt bitter, I felt angry... And embarrassed for some reason, and maybe relief, and maybe curiosity, and massive confusion. That's how things work sometimes. I think it was an unexpected reaction from the bishop, and I don't think he understood that this was the best calling I've ever had, that I love being with my girls and all of the girls, that I love them so much, that I felt God's love for them, and God's love for me. It was super time intensive, and on my mind all of the time, and a lot of sacrifice of time and energ...

Talking through text and getting some notes

Sometimes we talk through text and it's pretty great ( Trading Hadestown lyrics with Copper)
