Super random

Micah had a new friend over and they made cookies... well, they made a big batch of cookie dough and make four gigantic cookies from it... 😂 Copper... strawberry fields forever... I was invited by AARP to the "50s club" which is ironic because I am 44.5 years old. However, I took advantage of the offer because they're sending me a cute trunk tote and  because although they cater to those fifty  years of age or older, everyone is welcome... 😁 Amber gave us this great idea so we started it. We sent five letters to five different states (we each picked one) and we're hoping for letters and packages back full of surprises... so stay tuned...

Soccer started and other random life

Copper, after a couple of really long days....  She had a dance recital last night and did great! Cameron is in her class so they performed together. Super fun. Side note: I don't get dance. I don't get the movement. I don't get the stories. I kept hearing from Amber (who was a dancer) that "You have to interpret the dance and story to how it makes you feel." Well, if I did that, it must be a story about exhaustion...?? This is Kota hanging at the dojo... Rec soccer started.  I learned how to Dutch braid well, per Kota's request, and so she is often in Dutch braids, shorts (even when it's freezing), and a smile.  Copper's happy to be back playing too. Tim and I are trying to convince Dakota to be on a club team. This girl can run faster than anyone on her team, and so far on anyone on other teams they've played. She's adamantly disinterested.  Except it caught her attention when I said, "You know, if you play club soccer, the refs are bett...

Michelle, my kids, and chocolate covered almonds

I ran into my friend Michelle at the old town grocery store in Lehi. She's my one high school friend that I don't run from if I happen to see them around town. Our first jobs at age 16 were together- we made pizza and {tried to} find addresses if it was a delivery. Our boss lived an hour away, so he usually just gave us the keys and left for the evening. We had a RIOT.  After we graduated we went to Europe together. She went into a rage on our overnight train ride because it was bloody freaking hot and cramped. I bought a size 0 whore skirt and paraded the London streets in it. To my credit, I did not know the slit went from the ankle all the way up past my hips. We had a pretty fun time; then I came home, got in a car accident, nearly killed myself, and life went on. I hadn't seen her in a little while, so it was fun to catch up at the grocery store. We talked about how our kids don't take a seriously, and I told her how our girls rarely take me seriously and don't...

Getting hit by a car

Here's a text story. I didn't get hit by a car. But this is why Shandee and Amber are my best friends...

Random-ness

Easter lilies might be my second favorite flower, next to summer orange lilies... Micah REALLY loves dinosaurs. We went to Thanksgiving Point's dinosaur museum this past weekend and Micah loved it way more than the other two. I hope she always loves dinosaurs. Copper just likes the gift shop... And Copper likes hanging like a sloth at the Museum of Natural Curiosity... We also went to the movies... and I took a fun picture of this but actually was a little irritated to find Micah had put an empty bowl of buttery popcorn on her hair.  "What? I didn't know popcorn was greasy..." I feel like this has been Micah her entire  life... Also, randomness about me... I really want to write a book. It's been a desire of mine for like 30 years, and I've always loved to write.  I feel like something is around the corner, and I'm kind of watching and seeing what might come from it.  I'm trying to keep my mind really open and recognizing what I might bring to a read...
