Music is supposed to be soothing and bring peace to a disgruntled little soul.  So every night, and morning, and throughout the day, I sing the most appropriate song I can think of.  Over and over I sing "Love at Home" to these babies.  The hope is that I won't wring my own neck.  It's the closest thing to time out I can think of, since I can't actually put myself in time out and leave the three of them alone.  It's sort of funny. Sort of. Micah isn't as drunk and glazed over as she looks.  And Kota isn't really as mad as she looks. If you are reading this, please don't ask me if these babies are good.  I think that's a pretty apparent oxymoron.  A "good" baby still cries, still demands a lot of attention, still goes through 27 burb clothes in one load of laundry, still pees all over as soon as the diaper is off, still stares blankly with pretty limited interaction with others.  At least these babies are cute.  At two months...
Thanks Megan for taking our pics!!

Micah and Dakota

Micah and Dakota are six weeks old.  I can't believe how much they've grown and changed already.  Kota now weighs 8.8 and Micah 7.12.  Almost outgrown newborn diapers and up to eating three to four ounces per feeding.  Seems like all they do is eat, evidenced by their growing double chins.  I can't believe their once premie outfits were too big! Being six weeks old means I have six weeks left at home.  It really blows.  I'm really questioning going back to work and can't wait until I feel like I don't have to work. I didn't feel like that with Copper, which is a bit guilt provoking but I can't change it.  With her, I was okay with going back to work and I really liked my job.  I still like my job (most days) but would rather be here with three fun girls. And when I say fun, I mostly mean Copper.  :)  Not that these babies aren't adorable, but they're not quite fun.  Yet.  They love to cry for a while around 7:00 ...

Who I Am

I like pretending to eat fake food more than I like eating real food.  I like going to the park and swinging and sliding.  I like animal books.  I like bread and cheese.  I like going on walks, blowing bubbles, and drawing on the sidewalk with chalk.  I like my nails painted.  I like making messes.  I like rocking in my sisters' swings.  I like anything that glues to my body- stickers, fruit snacks, etc. I love milk and would drink a gallon a day if I could.  I love my sisters; I cry when they cry and hug the very life right out of them.  I love playing outside.  I love being around other kids.  I love jumping on trampolines.  I love to play in the sink while my hair is done.  I love to wear my swimsuit.  l love to help cook. I like trying on grown-up shoes. I love, love, love dancing. I have long golden hair that is curly at the tips.  I have hazel eyes and incr...

More than one blessing

*Warning: this post is more of a rambling, boring novel.  And there are no pics.  Boring. This past Sunday we blessed Micah and Dakota.  I heard Tim's blessing on Dakota and completely missed Micah's because Copper was all over the place.  Usually during Sacrament she is pretty good.  She knows when to be reverent, when to fold her arms to pray, and to not wander off.  Apparently having the whole family in the same room is reason to crawl over and under the pews and be a bit really crazy.  Oh well, she is two I guess! I took blessing pictures days before the blessing.  And when I say  I  took pictures, I mean my cool friend from work Megan took pictures. When I get them I'll post them.  I made all three girls matching skirts for the blessing and (I think) they turned out nice.  I decided against the traditional white, three-feet-long blessing dresses, maybe because they remind me of a hundred years ago and I...
