truth amid chaos

I read and reread a line today, the beginning sentence of a long post about truth and chaos.  it reads, the world is watching our church. This blog is my personal life. Not really a forum for topics of the news and currently events. But this is a big deal. And yeah, the world is watching our church.  It is! And though it's come through a negative fashion, the world is watching right now.  For those who choose to be mindful and respectful, they will find truth in that church doctrine reigns where no man, woman, media, or social pressure will.  I am sad that the leader of her own made group, ordain women, was excommunicated. That is always a sad thing.  But is not about feminism or gender equality for fairness. Anyone that understands the gospel understands what is happening is not really about the gospel at all. This is about pride, believing that we are all knowing being ourselves, that making a great display will change the Gospel's very foundation. ...

Rambling Thoughts...

Today I worked from home.  It was incredibly nice, except for the cracker-crumb filled carpet I felt every time I got up.  I thought about the very awesome life I have and the very tender mercies always heading my way.  I’m very blessed and know 100% that the good Lord is looking out for me.  Some bounteous blessings on my mind lately… My kids!  How fun and loving and wonderful they are.  I can’t believe how beautiful their bodies and spirits are.  They are kind and caring, fun and funny, loveable and  delightful.  And growing! And healthy!  Copper just turned a lucky five and couldn’t be more enjoyable.  The little girls are just shy of three, I can’t believe how they’ve grown into their personalities and light up our family. My Tim!  He’s so fun and helpful and loving.  He shares (well, not his pillow) (or his water bottle) and protects our family.  One of his greatest strengths is the love he has for our kids. ...

Picture overload but they're the cutest dang things...

This was the best idea I've had in a while.  Pics in dress up accessories... turned out so cute!

(At church) Kota: Hold me, mom... Me: I can't, you're getting to big and heavy! Kota: Well we don't have a wagon at church so hold me! (over the last several weeks) Me: Micah, how old will you be on  your birthday? Micah: (holding up five fingers) Eight. Me: How old? Micah: (holding up five fingers) Eight!

Staycation

A few weeks back we took the kids on a little staycation in Salt Lake City.  Good thing we went 1/2 hour away.  Twenty minutes into it they were sick of being strapped in.  We had a good time!  Some tears (apparently Kota dislikes vacation, haha), lots of smiles.   Right outside our hotel was a lake full of ducks hungry for anything they could grab.  We fed them cheese crackers from our palms and they chased the kids around.  Micah loved it and soon enough, when the crackers were gone, started throwing pine cones at them in hopes they'd bite.  Copper couldn't believe how many of them were.  And Kota kept her distance but loved throwing food at them.  Micah and Copper loved being in a hotel room.  Kota wanted her own bed until Copper clued her in that she could watch TV from her bed.  "A TV in a bedroom!  That's so awesome!"  The hotel pool was a bit hit too and we...
