Christmas with a toddler

We had a great Christmas this year, despite lots of coughing, congestion, headaches, and overall feeling not quite up to par. Copper finally figured out there's stuff inside wrapping paper- and often includes things that can sing, make noise, be torn apart or rebuilt, or loved. I think she got a bit overwhelmed but was a die hard. We spent Christmas Eve with the Helferich clan. We have a tradition of eating lasagna, which may have been the best thing I've tasted for maybe a year. Yummy! We looked at Christmas lights, to which Copper danced and giggled at, and opened presents. Tim's mom found Copper a little laptop for toddlers which she loves. It's supposed to be able to say her name when it turns on, but Copper wasn't on the list. Instead, it says, Hello Coopi. Makes her smile anyway. Tim and I are super excited to have gotten a bike trailer and can't wait to take Copper out in it. We woke up pretty early Christmas morning and headed over to my mom's. ...

Opening presents early.  Copper's left the gifts under the tree alone until last night, when she happened to pick one out with her name and rip into it.  We caught her well after it was open and played with.  :)

Gifts. Giving and receiving. It reminds me of church this past week. In Primary we talked about gifts we could give the Savior. Expecting answers such as serving and loving each other, it was an awesome sound to hear one four year old cry out, "A sword!"

The spirit of Christ.  I've said it before but I just love the spirit that is so strong around this time of year.  Last night we jumped to a loud knock to find a box full of goodies and gifts.  Thank you to those who feel the spirit so strong!

Christmas Commercials.  We don't even have tv but I remember this commercial and I always liked it...

Work Christmas Parties.  Today my team has our holiday get together.  Great co-workers always make for good times and make long days at work a bit more tolerable.
