Laughs

My sister in law Amber is one of the best things that's happened to our family.  She's hilarious.  Yesterday she and my little brothers draped my parents' yard in POLICE (DO NOT CROSS) tape as if a crime scene had happened.  Then they hid out and waited for them to walk home from church.  I totally wish she would have taken pictures- I would have LOVED to see their faces.  Apparently a few of the neighbors came out and tried to snoop around, haha.  Love my family and their shenanigans. More laughs, this time from Micah because although she doesn't try to be funny, she is and it's a hoot. Whenever we go out for dinner Micah packs her own from home.  She dislikes most restaurants and is perfectly content with her Nutella sandwich no matter where we go.  Haha. I stopped caring what the girls wear to school a LONG time ago.  Sometimes it's ridiculous.  But they have their choices and what does it matter to me.  Surely they lo...

Recreation

The girls are soccer players this year.  A few highlights: Me:  Girls, there are only two rules in soccer: have fun and do what your coach asks you to. Me: So, girls, what are the rules? Micah: Don't trip and stop running at the end of the field so you don't run away. Micah: Today I used my speed.  (Bless her heart, the fastest her tiny legs could go...) Micah: So... where's the treats and snacks? Kota has scored during each game and keeps up with the crowd. It seems like a natural sport for her to grow in.. and she loves it! Copper's second grade soccer is a lot different than Kindergarten.  She's learning defense, midfield, and forward plays.  She's dying to be goalie.  With a forty minute practice before each forty minute game, she's a tired gal by the time we're done, but with a smile on her face. Team names are chosen by the girls themselves.  The Kindergarten team voted with Kota's suggestion of the Unicorns...it even beat the sug...

Easter Round III

This was the first year in ten that we spent Easter with just us.  It was kind of nice! The Easter Bunny treated us the day before, so Easter Sunday was focused on Christ, His sacrifice, and what a nice thing it is to be a family.  We napped, played games, had a special Easter lesson, and feasted on ham, potatoes, and yummy veggies.  It was perfect... and I took no pictures... But I have been working on bread and have some decent things going on.  I don't take pictures of my kids on Easter, but sure took pictures of bread.  Whoops.  I went to a class, which was very helpful, and I learned a few things to help my starter grow better.  It's been therapeutic to me.  Thankfully it's a process I enjoy learning; otherwise, with all my fails, I'd given up long ago.

Easter Round II

My side of the family had their Easter dinner and egg hunt the night before Easter.  We tried to do a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt outside, but it got too cold before it was even dark.  So... we hid eggs in Shandee's basement and they went away with flashlights anyway.  Good times!  Tim killed Ryan in several games of foosball, Jack-Jack got super confused with Thomas and Tyrel and mostly called both of them Tom, Micah giggled about candy, Copper shined a smile all night long, Dakota and Daxton were inseparable, Taryn missed out on much because of a pre-teen party that took over most of the evening, my mom missed out because she was sick, and I almost died eating chipotle chicken.  Happy Easter to the Beck family!

Spring Break

Spring Break 2017 consisted of me taking no pictures but getting these cute ones from when Barb took the girls to the park.  The rest of the week was spent coming to work with me (always a good time), making bread (mostly fails), planting flowers, and doing usual family stuff like staying up late to play Skip-Bo.

Easter Round 1

Easter at Oma and Opa's.  We missed Steve and family and the wind/weather was a little outrageous, though we made do with the small of us and had an egg hunt indoors.  Always good times.  This child is literally happy as soon as she wakes up, for the rest of the day and night, and it's just about every single day... Love Cops...
Obviously from my sweet Micah... "Can I sleep in your bed.  I love you."  Haha, I don't know why she asks... she comes in EVERY single night... Obviously from my Copper who knows the ins and outs of soccer... a letter to her coach stating her overwhelming confidence... What I walked into the other night... three girls bathed and reading on my bed.  The best thing.
