Summer's flying by!

Dakota's a ham in front of the camera... every single time. I tried to take a picture of Copper in her Sunday dress and Kota wanted to be in on the photo shoot.  :) This is typical of their personalities: Copper sitting with her hands in her lap, smiling for the camera. Micah holding everyone together. Kota making the picture about her. Sure love all of these girls! Pool time! This time we brought our neighbor Emily; she's a short, funny blonde so she fits right in.

Van Camping

Last weekend we went van camping.   You can haul a lot in a van.  Such as: A kayak, oar, two tents, five sleeping bags and pillows, five camp chairs, two fishing poles, two coolers, four bags of clothes/toiletries, a box of food, dog food, three girls, one dog, and two adults. It was a bit tight.   Next time we'll bring our truck and trailer.  But we tried sleeping on our property for the first time and it was pretty fun!  Except that I couldn't sleep until 1:30 in the morning and woke up at 4:30.  That was not fun.  Nor was the fact it was over 100 degrees.  But the exploring was fun, so were the treks to the lake, the trips to Al's food town to get everything I forgot to pack, the games, and just being together. Micah brought way too much stuff- like half of this was hers!  I think she changed her clothes three times in the first few hours we were there....hahaha. Kota brought her sunglasses.  :)   And we tried a be...

Lehi Days

Last year, COVID cancelled Lehi Days; so, we were pretty excited to get back at rodeo and parading.  Cam and Copper dancing in the street before the parade started... All of the sudden they don't look like little kids anymore... I LOVE the rodeo and everything it represents. My favorite rodeo clown from childhood died last year and we were all a little worried about the replacement.  He passed the test and did a pretty good job. He's funny! Some of the crew... My mom is smiling, but she actually hates the rodeo.  She'd have been fine staying home but is a good sport.  :)   There's nowhere to actually park at the rodeo, so we parked at the elementary school by Ty and Amber's house... which also happens to be the school I went to growing up! Yes, they planned dressing up like this together.  You can't tell from this picture, but that's my bro Ty pulling up the rear in the stock parade by driving the truck that cleans up all the horse poop.  We all c...

Two 10 year olds!

These rascals turned TEN a few weeks ago!  Can't believe it. Ten things we love about Micah: Her favorite animal is a tiger and she has about 30 pictures/posters of them in her room, lots of stuffed animals and books, and a bazillion tiger trinkets.  Micah loves crepes.  Micah is a gift-giver and the most thoughtful person in our family; she's always thinking of what others may like and to make sure they feel loved on their own special days.  Micah is silly.  Micah is a crazy bookworm and her favorite books are those about tigers, graphic novels, Harry Potter, and lots of other series.  She has the best giggle I've ever heard. Micah likes adrenaline- she's all for the fastest, highest, scariest, and craziest of things.  Her favorite movies are Jaws, Jurassic Park, and Gremlins (much to her sisters' disgust).  She loves shooting her BB gun and her bow and arrow.  She's pretty amazing at karate. Ten things we love about Dakota: She loves huge s...
