School end and tumbling

Copperhead a tumbling expedition. We aren't sure why they call it that, it was basically a 25-minute performance. It was pretty fun to watch, and a little ridiculous... Last week was also the last week of school. Kota and Micah finished 5th grade and Copper finished 7th, her first year of junior high. I really love the notes the girls wrote to their teacher, Ms. Howard. She is one of the very best teachers they've ever had and I love her dearly. Last day of school with their good friend Emery. Dakota was in the dance festival and it was pretty fun to watch. Micah absolutely refused, and after seeing the dance, I don't blame her. Sounds like her worst nightmare. Kota did amazing though!!! ..

Taryn's graduation

She did it!! She was so proud of herself, as she should have been!  She asked me to take her down to the venue, BYU, early enough so she didn't have to stress about being late. Still, she was so stressed about not making it in time that we got there an hour and 20 minutes early! So she and I and her friend Tiffany walked around Provo, went to the creamery to get them ice cream, and took some pre graduation pictures.  Graduations are incredibly boring. I don't remember my high school graduation. My first college graduation was not something I really cared about, so I just had them mail my diploma. And my second college graduation, I went only because my friends were going. Overall, it doesn't really matter what graduation you go to and whether or not it's your own, it's probably one of the most boring things I can think of! Still, we all showed up in support of this girl, who definitely wanted to walk to get her diploma. My girls only enjoyed the graduation commencem...

Back to camping

First camping of the year. The Thursday before Memorial Day, before Taryn's graduation, Tim and I took up our fifth wheel trailer to the property and drove home. The next day our family loaded up with Tim's machine and the truck and headed up for the long weekend. Friday was an awesome weather day. Tim made a pretty large circle in our property with different camp spots, and a new place right in the middle for a fire pit. He kept hauling great big rocks over and I built the pit. It took me all freaking day. Those rocks get heavy! On Saturday, we woke up to pretty nasty weather and we didn't do too much. Ty and Amber and their kids were camping a few miles away, so they came over and we had dinner and the kids run around like lunatics. Outside of the short time for dinner, it pretty much rained all day. Sunday we woke up to a huge wind storm and more rain. We also had some mild trauma when the dog went missing for hours. He went out to go to the bathroom and did not come bac...
