Spring Break came at the perfect time- me sick of work, Copper tired of school (well, not really), and Tim able to take a day off during the week.
Monday: Daxton and Maci slept over, although "sleep" is overly stated. After running around crazy while I worked from home a bit, we went to the movies (dollar theater bargain) and enjoyed the sunshine.
Tuesday: I worked and had a not so great morning so I left for a few hours and went to the temple. I hadn't gone in maybe close to forever so it was pretty cool. The girls got to spend the day with Oma and water colored, sketched, went to the park, and partied hard.
Wednesday: I worked (better day at least!) and the girls spent the day with Oma AND Opa, who took them to the dollar store, McDonald's, the park. Since it was spring break I cancelled the program I run and got home earlier than nine o'clock at night... nice...
Thursday: Originally I asked Tim to stay home so I could get more work done. Then I decided not to go to work. This usually happens (that I don't go) when I ask him to stay home so I can work. But I don't really care. As much "all together" time we get, the better. We picked up Grandpa and Taryn and headed to the zoo. And I counted an hour of work time because I was doing email, text, and two phone calls all while looking at non-active and lazy animals. We got home and I did yard work while the girls destroyed everything I prettied. We got caramel apples and ice cream at the chocolate factory so it made up for it...
Friday: Took all the girls to my office for a few hours. Three hours later they had had ENOUGH and we went out to lunch. Finally I said, "You guys! We've been gone five hours... I think we should go home and rest." Copper piped up, "That means there's 19 hours left in the day." Sometimes I'm surprised at what she knows and remembers. Well, not really I guess. She has a good memory.
Saturday: We went to Lyla's birthday party and I found great joy seeing Tom dressed up as Kristoff from Frozen. He would have Never done that when he was single. I guess girlfriends have some influence. Haha. It's pretty good for a quick throw-together... although a little redneck... After the party, Dakota and I made a fairy garden for the frontyard barrel of dirt. Turned out pretty cute! The other girls were completely uninterested...

Fun with Oma and Opa
Zoo time!
Copper got these slick glasses from McDonald's the day before and she proudly announced they make her look wiser...
Chocolate Factory!
The first lawn mowing of the year really brings me joy. For real, so I took a picture.
Fairies welcome!
Whenever I want to smile, I can just look at this picture of my bro... hahahah
