We left St. George on Sunday morning. The girls slept through the drive and finished whatever homework they hadn't finished. I'm proud of them- doing a whole week's worth of schoolwork on our vacation. We tried to listen to General Conference on the way back but service was sketchy. So I mostly slept, haha.
I'm grateful for a lot of things:
- Our cute neighbor friend Zoey for taking care of our chickens and cat
- My friend and neighbor for checking on our newest chicken that is hated by the others and for grabbing our mail and random deliveries
- My bro and SIL for taking care of Red, who was very, very, very naughty (story for another day)
- My mom and Taryn for their unexpected help with Red, who continued to be naughty
- For Tim's hard work and his knowledge of pulling the trailer all over and fixing the things that came up
- For my job for being so flexible, coworkers willing to cover stuff, and plenty of paid time off
- For fantastic weather
- For safe travels- no major problems with the trailer or truck; fridge, freezer, oven, range, heater, and AC all worked great! We even got the microwave to work! I enjoyed cooking nearly all of our meals in the trailer; tight quarters but it worked out great!
- For the little miracles and the way things work out when unexpected change comes
- For sunshine, beauty, nature, and all of God's creations-- God is good
- For our bodies- legs that move and climb and keep going even when they throb and are tired; for arms that lift and hold hands; for hearts that keep beating; for lungs that take deep breaths; for eyes that see amazing things; for ears that hear laughter, wind, and animals; for a nose that takes in fresh, cool air; for a mouth that talks and smiles and laughs and tastes; for all of our amazing body parts. What a miracle.
- For Utah! We were going to go to Texas; I'm sure it would have been fun but this probably took 1st prize in vacations. Our own backyard- so many different, beautiful, amazing things to explore and experience.
So fun! Can't wait to return to some of these places again. I sure love my family and wouldn't trade anything in the world for time spent with them.
