I love these girls!!!  An update... Copper is the best, most fun, smartest, and cutest four year old around.  She loves the camera and is a bit of a ham.  She is motherly and always has her sisters' best interest in mind.  She shares, looks out for them, plays with them, includes them, and loves them.  When Tim and I told her we were leaving town for our anniversary a few weekends ago, she said, "Oh, okay, and I will watch the babies."  She loves learning, loves friends, loves helping me cook and clean, and loves art projects.  Coloring is a serious business.  She absolutely loves Primary and it's really fun watching her come up with new things.  Her latest is that she wants to be a missionary; we sing missionary songs a lot now. Every night.  She holds us accountable for family and meal prayers.  She has an incredible little spirit in her.  So blessed to have her in our family. Look at this kid.  She's a ham...
Tim and I spent our anniversary weekend away from the kiddos and in the nice heat of St. George.  What I relearned this past weekend, hashtag style: 1) The temple is one of the very nicest places to be.  I'd forgotten what absolute peace is. #bestplaceonearth 2) Tim and I have fun together.  By fun, I mean beyond parenting together. #lovemyhusband 3)  If I have hours to do and am too lazy to do anything active, GSN is the best.  #whoelselovesgameshows #iwanttobeonagameshow #ilovewatchingcrazypeople #wastedtimeongameshows #gameshowhashtagoverload 4) Working out with Tim is motivating.  I counted 2400 calories burned in 2.5 days. #couldvedied #thoughtiwouldpassout 5)  If I burn 800 calories in about five hours, I can't go without eating for the next nine. #gotsicksosick #forgottoeatdinner 6) Naps in the middle of the day are nice, nice, nice.  #whatelsetodoonalongdrive 7) My cute girls are well taken care of when we leave. #ihaveagre...

Conversations with Copper

Copper: Mom, I hear the butter. Me: What? Copper: I hear the rain and butter. Me: You mean thunder? Copper: Oh yeah, thunder. Dakota: Ma, ma, ma, MA, MA, MMMOOMMM!!! Copper: Kota, you can only say "mom" one time.  Like me.  Only one time you say "mom." (Guess she does listen when I tell her I hear her the first time!)

July 4th

We celebrated July 4 by going to the zoo and then my mom's for a BBQ and low-key fireworks.  Micah and Dakota were scared of all of it.  Luckily they found a slide to my mom's pool and got drenched.  :)

Swim lessons

Copper took two sessions of swimming lessons this year.  By the last three days, she was still too scared to put her head all the way under water.  Her and I went swimming in mom's big bath tub one night and practiced, practiced, practiced.  If she could do it unfailingly, we'd get her a soccer ball.  She worked hard (in the tub) and we went that night to get it!  She slept with the soccer ball and couldn't wait to show her swimming teacher the next day.  By the last day of swim lessons, she could do it no problem and they let her jump off the diving board. It was a Huge accomplishment.  Way to go Copper!
